Fraction Frenzy

We have been studying fractions the past couple of weeks, and are continuing this week.  This week students are going to:

1. Continue to compare fractions as greater than, less than, or equivalent

2. Find equivalent fractions on a number line

3.  Use pictures and number lines to generate equivalent fractions

4. Represent whole numbers as fractions

Here are websites for practice. Try these out. There are seven different activities that range from Kindergarten through middle school. Be sure read the directions!

The Making of Math Masters

Room 17 is now working on the making of math masters project!  Thanks to donorschoose.org, room 17 has a brand new Toshiba Thrive tablet.  Can you tell the students are excited from the photo?  We have it up and running with math apps, vocabulary games, and a slide show maker.  It is very exciting for the students and I to work with new technology.  It helps keep us on our toes.
